ABOUT NOTEWORTHY

We offer both in-person and virtual lessons regularly.  Piano lessons take place each week for either 30 minutes or 1 hour per lesson.  For virtual lessons, our teachers are equipped with Zoom, FaceTime, Skype, and Google Duo so that we can accommodate whatever virtual option is most convenient for families. Many families choose to enroll multiple students and some parents take lessons too! Lessons are offered for all ages from 4 or 5 upwards (basic reading and counting are required before lessons can begin).

Accompanying

Our teachers have a broad range of repertoire from performing in their own solo events and accompanying other vocal or instrumental performers. We have experience in playing for the Solo & Ensemble Festival, college auditions, music juries, summer music program auditions, recitals, coffeehouse-style concerts, and various other competitive events.

Noteworthy Piano Studio officially began in 2018, but its director has been operating under Bryan Leines' Piano Studio since 2013. Over the past two years his studio gained so many new families, that it was time to hire additional teachers to allow growth to continue. Because of this, Noteworthy Piano Studio is able to continue expanding and changing the lives of students in the Northern Virginia area.

About

Dedication

Why are we here?

1 Corinthians tells us "whether you eat or drink, or whatever you do, do it all to the glory of God."

Noteworthy Piano Studio exists because of God's grace and provision. We strive to honor God by being good stewards of the musical talents He has given us, and one way we do that is through teaching!

We aspire to be a positive influence in the lives of students and their families by teaching a love and appreciation for beautiful music and challenging them to reach their full potential as musicians.

Our mission is summarized in a few words, written by J.S. Bach:

"The aim and final end of all music should be none other than the glory of God and the refreshment of the soul."

Studio Goals

What makes Noteworthy Piano Studio different?

"Musical training is a more potent instrument than any other, because rhythm and harmony find their way into the inward places of the soul." - Plato

We want to equip every student to be able to read and learn music well, no matter how long they take piano lessons our hope is that they are lifelong students of music.

Our teachers challenge the students academically, but also encourage their creative abilities in songwriting and playing by ear. All backgrounds of musical training and ability are welcome and strengthened in every lesson. We want students to be well rounded musicians, so we place a high emphasis on learning to sightread, studying music theory, and experiencing a variety of musical genres.
